Brief Introduction
The DUC2-SS-S suspended solids analyzer uses an optical method for determining the turbidity suspended solids, a light beam is directed into the sample where it is scattered by suspended particles in the water. The amount of scattering depends on the amount of material in the water, the wavelength of light used and the size and composition of the suspended particles.
The matched SS sensor is OPSS800, OPSS800 digital infrared suspended solids sensor is based on the 90-degree infrared scattering method of ISO7027 standard, which measures the value of suspended solids of the sample according to the intensity of the scattered light of suspended particles in the water sample.
