500ug/L Online Digital Chlorophyll Sensor For Surface Water Monitoring
The chlorophyll sensor produced by Delfino is an online water quality sensor using RS485 signal output and standard Modbus protocol. The CHL351 chlorophyll sensor can be used with our digital controller. It uses the principle of fluorescence method. According to the spectral absorption characteristics of chlorophyll a, the water is illuminated by a high-energy LED light source to excite chlorophyll a in the water to produce fluorescence of a specific wavelength. Measure the concentration of chlorophyll a in the water.

About Chlorophyll
The content of chlorophyll a is one of the indicators to evaluate the eutrophication of water bodies. Chlorophyll is an important photosynthetic pigment for plant photosynthesis, which can be divided into four categories: a, b, c, and d.
Chlorophyll is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, acetone, ether, chloroform, etc. Chlorophyll is very unstable and will be decomposed by light, acid, alkali, oxygen, and oxidants.
Chlorophyll a itself is not harmful to the environment, but it is an important indicator for estimating the biomass of phytoplankton. By measuring the content of phytoplankton chlorophyll a in the water, the primary productivity and eutrophication level of the water body can be grasped.
