Multi-point calibration RS485 conductivity sensor for industrial online monitoring
Conductivity is a measure of the ability of a solution to transmit or transmit electrical current. The term conductivity comes from Ohm's law, U = I•R; where voltage (U) is the product of current (I) and resistance (R); the value of resistance is obtained from voltage/current. When a voltage is passed through a conductor, electrons flow to form a current whose magnitude depends on the resistance of the conductor. Conductivity is simply defined as the inverse of the resistance of the solution between the two electrodes.
Conductivity sensors measure the conductivity of a solution. The ions in the solution make the solution conductive: the higher the ion concentration, the higher the conductivity.
Measuring conductivity ratios in aqueous solutions is increasingly important for the measurement of impurities in water or the concentration of dissolved chemicals. DRFN online conductivity probes are designed to monitor pure water, chemical processes, and pharmaceutical processes. These conductivity sensors provide accurate and reliable measurements to ensure process control and compliance.
