Conductivity is the reciprocal of resistivity, reflecting the amount of salt in the water, and is a very important indicator of water quality.It can reflect the degree of electrolytes present in the water.
Conductivity sensors can be divided into electrode type and electromagnetic induction type according to their structure. The ASCK001 conductivity electrode is a 2-electrode probe with the measurement range of 0.01μS/cm~20μS/cm.
The conductivity electrode has two electrodes mounted on opposite sides. An alternating voltage is connected to the electrodes to generate a current in the medium. The current intensity depends on the number of anions and cations freely moving between the two electrodes in the medium. The more cations and anions in the liquid, the greater the conductivity and current.

The electrode of the electrode type conductivity meter is in direct contact with the solution, so it is prone to corrosion, pollution, polarization and other problems, and the measurement range is limited to a certain extent. It is suitable for the measurement of clean media with low conductivity (usually us/cm level, the upper limit is 10ms/cm), and is often used in water quality analysis of industrial water treatment equipment and other occasions.
