Descriptions
The measuring system of the water quality sonde chlorine sensor CP2.1 and CP3 is membrane-covered, amperometric 3-electrode system. It is used for the measurement of total chlorine with greatly reduced pH-dependence, also in seawater. The measurands of the chlorine sensor water quality sonde is NaClO (sodium hypochlorite), Ca(ClO)2 (calcium hypochlorite), Cl2 (chlorine gas), electrolytically generated chlorine.
The connection of the chlorine sensor CP2.1 and CP3 is 2-pole terminal, M12 male for mA-version or Modbus RTU with M12 male. In addition, we should pay attention to the interferences ClO2 is registered with 100 %, O3 is measured with a slope of approx. 130% (factor 1.3 with regard to the chlorine slope).

Applications Of The Chlorine Sensor
Swimming pool, drinking and seawater, surfactants are partially tolerated; special electrolyte for the use in seawater.
Free chlorine exists in a range of forms, and sometimes simultaneously in several forms. The composition will depend on the pH of the water in which it is found. The membranes and electrolytes enable measurement to take place in various pHs and, in many cases, even where the pH value fluctuates. This water quality sonde is membrane-covered, amperometric 3-electrode system, it can be used in the pH range from pH 4.0 to pH 12.0.
