What Does an Online Conductivity Analyzer Measure? AEC1-T1 T2 4-in-1 Measurement Guide

A modern conductivity instrument can do far more than a single reading. This guide explains the four parameters measured by the Daruifuno AEC1-T1 T2 online conductivity analyzer and why combining them in one meter saves space, wiring and cost.

1. Conductivity (0–20 mS/cm)

Conductivity is the fundamental measurement, expressed in microsiemens per centimetre. The AEC1-T1 T2 covers 0–20 mS/cm with resolution down to 0.001 µS/cm, so it suits both ultrapure water and concentrated brine.

2. Resistivity (0–18 MΩ·cm)

Resistivity is the inverse of conductivity and is widely used in pure-water and ultrapure-water applications. The analyzer resolves resistivity to 0.001 MΩ·cm.

3. TDS (0–10000 ppm)

Total dissolved solids estimate the concentration of dissolved substances. A settable TDS coefficient converts conductivity into TDS according to the user's standard, with resolution down to 0.001 ppm.

4. Salinity (0–15 ppt)

Salinity is essential in seawater, brackish water and aquaculture work. The AEC1-T1 T2 measures 0–15 ppt with a resolution of 0.001 ppt.

Plus Temperature Compensation

All readings are referenced to 25 °C using NTC10K / PT1000 automatic or manual temperature compensation, so values stay comparable regardless of process temperature.

Why a 4-in-1 Analyzer Helps

  1. One panel instrument replaces several single-parameter meters
  2. Less wiring, fewer probes and simpler maintenance
  3. Consistent accuracy of ±1% FS across the range
  4. Switchable display between COND, RES, TDS and SAL
  5. Dual 4–20mA outputs, two SPST relays and RS485 Modbus RTU

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I display TDS instead of conductivity?
Yes, set the TDS coefficient and switch the display to TDS.

Does it measure temperature as well?
Yes, from −10 to 150 °C, used for automatic compensation.

Which parameter should I monitor?
Choose based on your process — resistivity for pure water, TDS for dissolved solids, and salinity for marine or brackish water.

How the Four Parameters Relate

Conductivity, resistivity, TDS and salinity are closely linked. Resistivity is the reciprocal of conductivity, which makes it convenient for very pure water where conductivity becomes tiny. TDS is derived from conductivity using a coefficient that reflects the dissolved solids in a specific water type, and salinity follows a similar relationship for waters with high ionic content. Presenting all four in one instrument lets users choose the most meaningful unit for each process without buying separate meters.
